| Iberovías will make an investiment 0f 20 million euros in heavy machinery in rail works |

Iberovías, company of the Rover Alcisa Group specialized in rail works, will maintain in the present financial year "in spite of the crisis" its plan of investing 20 million euros in buying heavy machinery "of new generation and first line".
Eugenio Álvarez, the general director of Iberovías announced it that way in some statement to Europa Press Television. He said that with this investment they look forwards to "carrying out all the clients demands with the most advanced technology and at the same time create new jobs". In this sense, he assured that the company hasn't been forced to downsize staff, but the opposite thing. He assured too, that Iberovías will maintain this year the increase of 200 new jobs generated "directly or indirectly" in the past financial year and even to rise "in short term" even a 20% with very specialized staff on rails.
Regarding to the investment in new material, the director of Iberovías detailed that from the total budget, 10 million have already been destined to buy heavy machinery. He explained that "This plan means a great investment in innovation of new methods and ways of work of constructing rails, plans of operations and all type of constructive methods, that is why our staff needs to be highly qualified with the latest work methods"
INTERNACIONAL EXPANSION. Iberovías closed year 2009 with an invoice closing process of about 30 million euros and it is predicted to raise its client portfolio in the present financial year. In between its future aims, Iberovías stands out its intention of getting in the private sector and expand its action to the international scope, to markets such as America or China and also to expand its work to Libya, Tunisia, Bulgaria, Colombia or Mexico. In the national market, Álvarez stressed that the company counts with works all around the country "some already finished and some that are being carried out at the present" and in all the "rail fields", from High Speed to trams or underground. |
