| Rover Alcisa ends the emergency works in the rice fields of the municilapity of Sueca |

These works correspond to the Hydrographic Confederation of river Júcar, whose management has visited the works regularly to know "in situ" the state of the execution. The works are characterized by their technical complexity, which combines the application of maritime technology with the work on land. The president of the Hydrographic Confederation of river Júcar, Juan José Moragues, the director of the Confederation, Federico Bonet, and the head of special actions in river beds and director of works, José López Garaulet have been observing the evolution of the performance and the progresses that have been implemented by the technical team of Rover Alcisa. The work consisted in placing two pipes of polyethylene of high density welded by a thermic fusion of 1000 mm of diameter, 317 m and 192 m length respectively, among the canals of Mig and Regerot de la vila with the Vella ditch. In addition, a ditch has been dug from a depth of 2 m, leaving the material outside, to accommodate the tubes, which were carried by flotation and have been submerged using concrete ballast. Once inserted the tube into its final position, the ditch is immediately covered returning the area to its original state. With this depth of action, with a millimetre between the upper generator of the tube and the rice field, the area is assured not to get broken by using tools. With regard to the work carried out on the canals of Mig and Regerot of Vila, bars have been arranged to prevent the migration of suspended solids in the pipeline, and floating barriers. The shots are covered with rubble and don’t affect in any way the existing ditches, since those jacks are on the side of them. 4 pumps have been installed with an horizontal shaft to which power is supplied with a buried low-voltage driving from the current CT pumping station of La Partideta. Upstream of the pumps inside the drawers of reinforced concrete, two gates are mounted choppers to ensure unwanted water ebbs between ditches due to the difference in height between plates. ?In the pumping stations (independent) of water from the canals of Mig and Reguerot de la Vila there are the two gates, and in the exit of discs there is bulges end of line. The water of both ditches will never get mixed before reaching the ditch Vella. Once its finished, the entire area has been recovered to its original state. It should also be noted that during the work it has not been interfered in the release of water for rice. It has also been covered the CASH OF THE OUTSIDE FIELDS OF RICE OF THE VELLA DITCH WITH RIPRAP and the strengthening of the pot with the material from the excavation of the tubes to improve the behaviour of these structures in extraordinary situations. During the construction none of the canals has been reported. They have only worked with large rainfall events to act as drainage, or in normal periods to allow the reuse of water in the rice irrigation system. DIVERS EQUIPMENT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THE PIPELINE The technical complexity of the work of emergency in Mareny de Barraquetes has led, for the first time in civil land work, the application of marine technology. For this reason, Rover Alcisa, has hired a team of professional divers for the placement of a large diameter polyethylene pipe of high density at several stages in the inside of an environmental surrounding such as the Natural Park of l’ Albufera of Valencia and geotechnically unstable, such as the muddy sand in which rice is cultivated. The underwater team has done a complex work given the environmental conditions that are the placement, anchoring and ballasting of the collocation of the hydraulic pipes of 1000 mm. |
