Rover Alcisa Constructions, a company of the Rover Alcisa Group has successfully completed the suppression of two-step level crossings in the province of León; one on the KP 174/617 of the railway line Palencia - La Coruñain the town of Astorga and the other one in the KP 191/803 of the same line in Porqueros municipality of Magaz de Cepeda. Both works mean a great step for the province in the road communication in both locations, as these infrastructures eliminate existing level crossings giving a greater flow of traffic in both Astorga and Magaz de Cepeda.

The works executed in Astorga involve the final elimination of all existing level crossings in the city. The performance consists of a bridge of 3 spans of 65 meters in total length with main shaft on both sides, reaching paths roundabouts at intersections with the highway of Riello, on the other side with the road to San Roman de la Vega. These works are related to traffic, but also have a sidewalk on both sides.

For pedestrians, a footbridge about a hundred meters from the suppressed passage has also been executed; it is very close to the station of Astorga. For the gateway integration in the area, a road connecting the west side of the gateway and Chapin Avenue has been implemented.

All along the work, we can find a sidewalk on the left side, to Villameca. Two approaches have also been implemented to Porqueros from the new path and a service road to access farms on the right bank of Villameca.
